Built for a More Personal Connection
TopDollX is a Dallas-based brand creating premium silicone dolls and AI companions for adults who value realism, personalization, and privacy.
We began in 2021 with four people, a small workshop, and one belief: a premium companion should feel carefully considered from its first design sketch to the moment it reaches its owner.

2021 — Starting Small
Our first year was intentionally focused. We completed 18 made-to-order companions, working closely on silicone finish, body proportions, customization, packaging, and care.
Those early builds taught us that quality is not one impressive feature. It is dozens of small decisions made consistently.

2022–2023 — First Profit, First Investment
As demand grew, customization became difficult to manage through handwritten notes and long message threads. We temporarily limited production to eight companions per month while introducing clearer configuration records, pre-production confirmation, and final inspections.
The business reached operating profitability during this period and secured its first outside investment of $500,000.
We invested:
- $225,000 in production tools and quality control
- $150,000 in AI-head research and hardware development
- $75,000 in customization and product systems
- $50,000 in customer support, privacy, and logistics
The investment gave us room to improve the product without chasing volume at the expense of quality.

2024 — Why We Chose the AI Head
When we entered AI development, we made a deliberate decision: focus on the head instead of attempting a complete humanoid robot.
The face is where presence begins. Eye contact, expression, voice, and conversation shape how a companion's personality is experienced.
Our early prototypes explored facial movement, blinking, voice interaction, responsive conversation, and realistic silicone faces. Some ideas worked well in demonstrations but were too complicated or unreliable for daily ownership, so we removed them rather than asking customers to test unfinished technology.

2025–Today — Building Our Own Intelligence
Today, our AI work remains focused on the TopDollX AI Head.
We are developing our own language model and hardware platform, including contextual conversation, memory, personality, voice, facial expression, motion control, and simpler device setup.
We are not presenting it as a full-body robot. Our goal is narrower and more practical: create an expressive AI head that can bring personality and interaction to selected premium silicone bodies.
Since 2021, our 12-person team has created more than 600 silicone dolls and AI companion builds for customers across 11 countries.

What Comes Next
Our next milestone is a customer-ready AI head with more natural conversation, quieter facial movement, clearer privacy controls, and compatibility with selected TopDollX bodies.
Future software updates will gradually introduce deeper memory, more distinct personalities, and additional languages. Full-body robotics may follow one day—but only when the experience is reliable enough to improve ownership rather than complicate it.
